You may be wondering about ADHD, autism, dyslexia, or another learning difference, or your child may already have a diagnosis that does not fully explain what you are seeing.

Why a Comprehensive Evaluation Matters
Most clinical evaluations focus mainly on identifying a diagnosis within a medical framework and do not include assessment of academic skills.
School-based evaluations are designed primarily to determine a child’s eligibility for special education services and usually do not include clinical diagnoses.
My approach is different.
As a dually credentialed licensed psychologist and school psychologist with extensive experience across medical, research, and educational settings, I integrate multiple perspectives into one cohesive understanding of your child’s strengths and challenges.

It depends on the questions you’re hoping to answer. For autism evaluations, I assess children as young as 18–24 months. For ADHD or learning differences such as dyslexia, the diagnostic picture typically becomes clearer when children are a bit older. We can talk through your concerns and discuss your options.

Adult evaluations are limited to college students or college applicants who need an updated psychoeducational evaluation for the purpose of requesting academic accommodations.
I do not offer autism diagnostic evaluations for adults.

The total fee for a comprehensive evaluation typically ranges from $2,500–$3,000, depending on your child’s age, referral concerns, and the scope of testing recommended. An evaluation for a young child generally costs less than an evaluation for an older child, teen, or young adult.
You will be given a Good Faith Estimate prior to any scheduled appointments.

Services are private pay/out-of-pocket, meaning insurance is not billed directly.
If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be able to seek partial reimbursement from your insurance carrier. Some services may also be HSA-eligible. Documentation can be provided if you choose to pursue reimbursement.

From the parent interview to the feedback session, the full process typically takes several weeks, depending on scheduling and the scope of the evaluation. I’ll review expected timelines with you at the start so you know what to expect.

Yes, consultation with school teams and healthcare providers is available for an additional fee following a comprehensive evaluation. We can discuss your follow-up needs and options during the feedback session.
